Up for auction please find two very nice 1938 France semi-postal stamps, mint hinged and lightly used, very fine, Scott Nos. B77 and B78. Stamps are from a smoke free and Covid free home. Thank you for bidding!Notes:
Scott NO. B77 shows Parade at Arc de Triomphe, marking the 20th anniversary of the Armistice ending WWI. Germany signed an armistice with the Allies between 5:12 AM and 5:20 AM in Marshal Ferdinand Foch's railroad car in Compiègne Forest, France. The end of World War I became official on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month (of 1918).
Scott #B78 shows a nurse helping a student, and was issued for student relief. Words say "Higher Committee for Social Work for Students".
