No , but you could grow them inside and put outside in the summer.They have been known to completely die and then sprout from the bolbus root after being cut down.If the tree freezes it most likely will die .They are a watery type of trunk.I have cut one down and it’s like celery inside.

No I don’t think they can.They grow fast during the summer and might die and come back if they get good root development.I think they are a warm climate tree.
