Not a Problem!$! Thank You for this Awesome Listing, I just Wish I had Enough to Bid!$! The Reason I Say the Earliest They could've been Glued to the Boards in the 1800's; the Civil War was 1861-1865, so Only a Time Traveler could've Glued Them on in the 1700's!$! Though with Everything I've Seen; I don't Doubt Anything being Possible, Even Time Travel!$! Still a Really Great Auction; I Wish You the Best of Luck with it, Someone is going to be Happy!$! Prayers, and Good Vibes Sent!$!
They are dated to the 1700s. Thank you so much for the kind comments. :) Please, if you would, tell me why is the earliest to be glued on boards is in the 1800s?
When I had the bills examined by a restoration specialist in Las Vegas, he said the glue was reminiscent of the period. The glue was more like the thick shellacking made in early period, and it would be best if I not try removing the bills for fear of damage. The wood is very old, like some of the crates, signs, and shoe shine boxes stored on the early 1800s home with barn that I purchased.
