My uncle had/has this same camera and I remember him bring it to the family gatherings. The battery is for the flash so be aware the flash wont work unless you can get that battery out other then that he said it's a good camera.

Can you upload a picture of the batteries "stuck inside" ? did the batteries leak acid for being in there for so long?!?
Sep 23rd, 2012 at 9:39:46 AM PDT by
also can you take a picture of the bottom of the camera?
Sep 23rd, 2012 at 5:15:57 PM PDT by
Bummer.. Looks like the batteries rusted in their. Probably due to the acids from the battery. Now can you try to upload a picture with the camera turned on?!

1 teaspoon baking soda to 1/4 cup of warm water , mix well, use small arts type paintbrush to cut corrosion . damp paint it on NOT overflowing , and then free batteries with needle nose plyers gentle twisting motion .
Sep 26th, 2012 at 12:30:37 PM PDT by
Looks like someone already tried to pry the battery out. You can see all the gouge marks around the edge. Does the battery door still fit securely. Can't tell from the pic if it is flush. Thanks :o)
