Offered is an early 20th century post card showing women playing tennis on Campbell's Island near Rock Island, Illinois. The island was the scene of a major battle in the War of 1812, a popular resort in late 19th and early 20th Century and today an Illinois State Park. This century old post card shows women in turn of the century full dress playing tennis. A great card for the Rock Island area resident, Illinois teacher or historian, tennis or sports card collectors, and others.
