The listing, Rare 1900's Tennis Game Post Card has ended.

Campbell's Island was the scene of a battle in the War of 1812 but in the 19th century it becomes a luxury resort. The rare post card shows four women in long dresses playing tennis. The post card is one of the oldest post card of women playing tennis. The card was mailed Jan 27, 1909. This is a must card for the tennis lover.

Questions & Comments

Campbell's Island, near Rock Island, Ill. is now a state park. The picture on the card was believed to have been taken around 1904.
