The diverter is designed to fit snugly for a proper seal. If the bottom neck of the Magic Dragon is too tight when first putting it on, simply blanch it with boiling water for a few seconds or so before using it. This will soften it up so that it becomes more pliable and easier to squeeze onto the Instant Pot release valve to do its intended job.

Pressure release diverter is made of a high quality and food grade safe silicone. Not easy to deform, of moderate hardness with no peculiar smells, and can be washed in the dishwasher. The non-stick silicone surface makes it easy to clean.
