I'm sorry to hear that the bidder didn't pay for their items. I hate when that happens!
That's why most of the time I just list my stuff with GIN on them because I know that the buyer has to have the points that way. But I also understand wanting to have people bid more on items to try to get the best price for them as well. I wish I could trust bidders more on here,but it's hard to when they do stuff like that usually because they're new and didn't read all the info listia tries to inform them about the site. Hopefully this time someone who really intends to buy it wins. :)

Thank you. Yes, it’s frustrating. Until listia does something to prevent this, it will keep happening. Unfortunately it was not a newbie. It was a veteran of listia. I block newbies as soon as they bid because it’s happened to much. If you don’t pay you get blocked. But maybe you will get to win this time. Good luck!!

New rule: bid with points you have...Listia should require buying points pre bid if you don't have enough. Just assuming the newbie bidder will buy any needed points after auction ends is ridiculous. *and a pain in the tush to re-list*

I start my auctions with price to ship in points .. and since I've started doing that, I don't get the non payers (knock on wood) haha I'm actually kinda glad it didn't cause I was out of town and forgot to bid and I WANT hahahahaha

It is upsetting to me that these fake bidders keep legitimate bidders that do pay from winning items that they are bidding for, plus the trouble they cause the sellers. Listia could do more about them, but for whatever reason they don't. I felt frustrated. I hope it is ok to share my thoughts.

I think it has a lot to do with if someone doesn’t actually have the points to pay and they win, listia sometimes is able to get someone to buy the points. That’s why they won’t stop people from bidding who don’t have the points. But it’s a pain for sellers.

I had a newbie from four states away demand I Bring him the item, "end of the block with the blue roof" lol!! I have blocked over 800 now. Veteran Listians not completing an auction is rare to me. I hope this relist gets a ton of points for the hassle you had.

If a newbie bids I immediately block. I’ve had 2 or 3 veterans bid and not pay. The person who won this auction before was a veteran unfortunately, they are blocked now. I’ve had a guy win this was years ago who apparently had a fetish for inflatables. Kept making new accounts and harassing me , listia had to step in. They kept bidding on the pool float I had listed with the new account. It was definitely my weirdest encounter.

I wish the free offers would actually pay out then things are so broken and the only ones that really do pay out are the surveys I used to farm videos all day and get lots of points now none of the videos work and they got these digital items you can sell or trade
