The Italian Nativity Scene, or Presepe, is a Christmas tradition that depicts the birth of Jesus. Tradition states that Saint Francis of Assisi staged the first Nativity in 1223 in Greccio, Italy. Soon the tradition spread all over Italy and each Christmas everyone began displaying the Nativity Scene. The word presepe comes from the Latin word praesaepe, which means "crib", "manger", or "enclosed area for sheep and goats", which became the humble birthplace stable of the Christ Child. Perfect for celebrating the holiday season and Christmastime! This beautiful Euromarchi Nativity Scene is a great addition to your Christmas decoration. The Brand is well-known for its quality craftsmanship, and this original piece is a must-have for collectors, an ideal gift for the holiday season, a cherished family heirloom. Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind piece that will add a touch of elegance and warmth to your festive decor. Make your Yuletide merry!
Is this new or vintage because we had this when I was a kid an angel also hooked onto the front of the stable and you would place a light in the hole in the back
1) I bought this over 20 years ago. I have not seen anything like this online. It means it's not being produced anymore. So yes, it's vintage.
2) There is no and never was an angel on this nativity scene. I have seen pictures of scenes that have it, but this one never did. This is how it was purchased, it came without an angel.
3) I suppose you could add a light. It came with none and I did not use light with it but in theory, you could.
Thank you for your interest and if you have more questions please feel free to ask :)
