This adorable toy is used, but in very good condition. She is super soft and cuddly. There are no stains or tears as it really wasn't played with much. My daughter is more interested in princesses now, so we're letting this go.

Violet interacts with your child when the child presses one of the paws. Sings a variety of songs, and says the child's name and talks with the child about her favorite things. The little bone on her collar lights up, too.

I don't have the instruction booklet anymore, but if you go to leapfrog.com and install leapfrog connect (free) on your computer, then connect Violet to your computer using the included USB cable, you will be able to personalize it with your child's name and favorites.

Violet's battery pack is in the back. It takes three AA batteries. The currently installed batteries do work. There is an on/off switch on the battery pack, but you also have to press the left lower paw to turn it completely on. The USB slot is also on the battery pack.

The website says this toy is appropriate for children from 6-36 months.
