The listing, Japanese Yen 100 has ended.
Japanese Coin~100 Yen
**picture is NOT of the coin I have. Same design and condition, but different year. ~It is marked with an 8. My understanding is that you add 25yrs to the number on the coin to get the actual year. If that IS the case, It's a 1932 coin.
Will send out within 3 days of closed auction.
Great to add to any collection! Happy bidding!
Questions & Comments
Your estimate of the add 25 years is for Showa period. The 100 Yen coin didn't circulate until 1967.(Showa 42) The 8 on your coin is for the current period of Heisei or 1996.
Gotcha. Thank you! I'll make the change. I just read it on someone's info page, but thought that it looked like a newer coin. It's nice to learn something new! Thanks again!
