What a great looking movie camera!
This Tower T-185 standard 8mm movie camera has plenty of great looking mid-century details. The overall color is a grey-blue, with an institutional brushed metal texture to keep it from slipping out of your hands. The faceplate has great lettering design!
There's 3 lenses and 2 filters for each lens. On one side there's a crank to wind the motor, a dial to set the frames per second, and a dial showing how much film has been used. The shutter fires in rapid movement if you push in one direction, or takes one frame at a time if you press in the other. The other side features a dial to set the exposure and a chart to help determine proper exposure settings.
On top is the original light meter, though it appears to not be accurate any longer, which is quite common with light meters this old.
Although there are some minor signs of wear, this is in great working condition. The motor still runs beautifully, and though I haven't tried it with any film, it appears to be fully operational.
Camera measures 5.5 x 4 x 2 not including lenses.
Overall, just a great looking camera! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any specific questions-- I'm happy to help!
