The listing, 1789-1797 RARE GEORGE WASHINGTON FUNERAL TOKEN-COIN! DOUBLE SIDED!! MUST SEE! has ended.

I found this while metal detecting in my hometown of Lexington virginia...Lexington is also the home to George Washington's namesake college of washington and lee university. It is double sided with the same bust and words on both sides! 1789 1st President USA 1797 George Washington!
I know nothing about it...it has a hole at the top and is said to have been worn around the neck of patrons attending his funeral..with it coming from Lexington va...it could also be some sort of medal from the W&L college! It has been cleaned to a point and looks like silver, though i have never gotten it tested nor authenticated...so..it is what it is!! Bid accordingly.... its a very nice piece of American History!!!
Free shipping! Thanks!!!!

Thanks man...yeah i too think its cool...if you watch pawn stars...this is the token-coin-medal that went for $2500...im not sure what to think about it...ive seen them range all over the board!!i found it around the old college ruins.. the first sets of buildings that belonged to what was washington college until the civil war..after the war... they added R.E. Lee's name..as both he and stonewall jackson are buried here...so theres alot of history associated with my hometown..its definatley old...how old i dont know...they made these for the 20th-50th and supposed 100th anniversary of his death..so even if its from the 100th anniversary... its still from 1899! Good luck man!
