Powder laundry detergent you buy in store is made up of almost half being saw dust used as a filler. My homemade laundry detergent is all needed ingredients and EXCELLENT w/ stains. You use 1 tbs per medium or small load and 1 1/2 tbs per lrg load. Ingredients are: borax,arm and hammer, oxy clean, and bar of soap (soap brand choices are: zest,ivory,dove,irish springs, or lever 2000.

I have made my own laundry soap out of the same ingredients.....THE BEST soap ever!!!! AND....very inexpensive....awesome idea to put on here!!!!

yes, 1 tbsp or a tbsp and a half for a very large load. It does last a long time and that is what is so good about it!!
