The listing, Apple iPhone 3G 8GB Black ATT has ended.

This is a used, but perfectly good, working iPhone 3G 8GB Black (ATT). It's a bit dated, and getting apps on it is difficult because most are no longer supported on this older device. However, it still works great as a phone and for listening to music and taking pictures. Touch screen is in near perfect conditions with no cracks or scratches. Minor scuffs on the back (see pictures). Has the latest supported operating system/updates and will be restored to factory defaults before being shipped. SIM card NOT INCLUDED, so you will need to get one from your local ATT store or at least install a compatible one before you can activate or use this device with iTunes (does not require an active cell phone plan to use as iPod but does require a SIM card to be installed for initial activation only). Device is currently intended for use on ATT only. Data/charging CABLE included, but case, wall charger and ear-buds are NOT included. Please contact me with any other questions before bidding. You would have to search the App Store. The iOS version on this phone is 4.2.1, so you can download and install any app that works on this version. You may also choose to jailbreak for more apps and added features (this is entirely up to you to figure out though). Many newer apps will not work on this version of iOS.

Fanned & watching. This is a really nice auction item. I have never had a smartphone before so I looked it up on AT&T and it looks like you could use it for a no contract straight $60.00 a month plan. Am I correct?

Thanks for the F&W! I think you are correct. Since you will own the phone you won't need to sign a contract. Then it just depends on what data plan and other plan options you want. They change those often and I haven't looked into what's available currently, but that price looks about right.
