This is my great-grandmothers recipe for donuts. It makes the best traditional (does not use yeast) cake donut. Our family has enjoyed this recipe for generations and I make it now with my grandchildren. This is a family recipe that has been handed down and it has not been published anywhere. I really should write a cookbook using these old family recipes, which have been handed down from generation to generation, but in the meantime I will be putting them on Listia. I will email the lucky winner the recipe.
