I had tickets for a concert the 3rd week of Oct. When we pulled into the parking lot there were only 6 cars there and I got a very uneasy feeling. There were 2 people at a table close to the door entrance We walked up to the table and I asked if there was going to be a Sandi Patti concert and a man said No, there won't be any concert tonight. She is very sick, something with her throat and she's in the hospital. He said it's been posponed until Nov 15 and everyone gets a Free CD. We were very disappointed but totally understood and told him we would be praying for her. It's Nov 15th and we're on our way to see Sandi Patti in concert again! We are twice as excited now! I pull into the parking lot and......
Only 8 cars there! My heart sunk! So, we went in and looked around and the place was quiet. We walked to the auditorium and it was empty. Again, 2 men sitting at a table. I walked up and told the man I was here for the Sandi Patti Concert and get this...........
He said, you missed it. She was here last Sat. I could not believe my ears. I thought I had heard him wrong! I asked him why the date was changed. He said after she re-booked it for Nov 15th she called back and said she needed to change it becuz she had double-booked and already had a previous engagement for that date. It was not easy for me to keep my composure, I'll confess. I asked why were we never told about it. He said it was in the newspaper, on the internet and the radio. My neigbor subscribes to the paper that he said it was in and never saw a thing. I am a Power Seller on eBay and sell on Amazon and am on the internet 7 days a week and I never saw a thing and neither of us listened to the radio station that he mentioned. 900 tickets were sold. 450 peope showed up for the concert. Why didn't those other 450 people who had paid tickets not show up? I said that's an awful lot of people who didn't. He said that we would get a refund which I was glad for that, but what a frustrating experience!
