I'm sorry for being late in responding to this. It is two-toned gold & silver - I "think" it's goldtone steel, but I could be wrong about that and it could be gold. There is no 'flaking', nor does it look 'cheap' like it will flake. It is either goldtone done well OR actual gold. My apologies for not being able to be more specific.
