Posted 19 March 2013 - 07:00 PM I too can verify that we (US Cellular) use a simple 'CDMA Unlock Code' application. Before a phone has been activated for the very first time the code is 000000. Once the ESN/MEID has been activated a unique unlock code is generated based on the ESN. I can use the tool before activation to tell you what the code will be even before activation based on the info.
Even with the subsidy lock code, you still need the programming menu codes and correct apns to swap networks, plus a provider willing to add a non carrier piece of equipment. Here is an interesting little tidbit for everyone. We got bored one day and tried to add a non-uscc device to an account. To our surprise it let us add the ESN and select any phone we wanted. After successful activation and a month of use on the uscc network we got the bill... Every single minute used was considered a 'toll' call. Edited by dIGITALbEATdOWN, 19 March 2013 - 07:06 PM.
ST does not allow Verizon, US Cellular, And other prepaid cells on their network. Flashing to other networks. Ya know what im not going to sit here and explain it to go Google the damn thing and find out yourself. if you don't know what your talking about bother some one else.
Verizon, us cellular and prepaids are not transferable. i don't understand all of it myself but its what its what they told me. you can have it flashed to straight talk there are people out there but i don't
It may be rooted but its showing us cellular on the screen in your photos so there for its set up as us cellular from the factory if it was even unlocked as u say it would not show us cellular even with it rooted u still will have to flash it to another carrier to use
It cant be unlocked it can be flashed to other carriers so be honest I did my checking around only phones with a sim can be unlocked all others u have to flash them to use with another carrier
Cell phones dont need a sim card to be unlocked. Unlocked means the phone can be used with other carriers but if phone is cdma you cant use it with att. it is a cdma and it can be used with cdam carriers. and last i dont think i said it is 4g us cellular sucks that way.
