The listing, Check Out My Book! The Man Who Became Frankenstein's Monster By Robert Daicy has ended.

So here's the deal. I'm auctioning an autographed copy of my first novel, The Man Who Became Frankenstein's Monster because Listia has been very good for me and I figure it's a great way to get the book out there a bit. Here's the synopsis:

New York, 1926‒Anyone can make a good life for themselves if they are just willing to work hard for it. William Barker is such a man. He has a good job, a nice house, a son named James, and a marriage he is trying desperately to hold together. After a tragic accident takes this life away, William finds himself alone in his house with terrible mental and physical scars that are a constant reminder of his loss.

With no one willing to employ a man with such visible and disturbing scars, William is lost and has no answers for how to move on. That is when he meets the man who will change that life forever: Roland Skelton, the energetic owner of Skelton’s Spectacular Traveling Carnival. Where others saw a man to be shunned, Roland recognizes a man he may be able to help.

Roland convinces William to join the Carnival as the headliner of the ten-in-one. The aroma of roasting peanuts and sugary lemonade, the splendor of colorful light bulbs illuminating the night sky, and the sound of the calliope blasting for all to hear lure William into this new world of excess. Dubbed Frankenstein’s Monster, William is a hit with the paying audience and finds that being onstage is a release from his pain and guilt. In time, William realizes those he works with understand him more than he could have dared hope and while working at the carnival, William finds acceptance, a jealous enemy, and even love. The Man Who Became Frankenstein’s Monster is a moving novel about a man who rises above adversity set against the backdrop of the golden age of the carnival. 486 Pages.

Book will be sent via USPS Media Mail with Tracking. Thanks for looking!

There are no graphic sex scenes at all. My nephew is reading it now and he's the same age as your son and seems to be doing well with it. Thanks for looking!

Are there no real ties to mary Shelley's, "Frankenstein" and how long is your book, page wise?

There are no real ties outside of a few lines from the novel and the Monster being the inspiration for the main character's persona. I have always loved Frankenstein though. The book is just shy of 500 pages.

I read a preview online. Your book sounds fantastic. I'm also trying to write a book and I'm letting my bf read over it before sending the final edit in. Do you have any tips for an aspiring artist/writer? Please reply! F&W

Fanned back! That's awesome that you're writing a book! Congratulations! As far as tips, the easiest one is to be confident in yourself, whether that be your voice or just what you're choosing to write. I would also take a look into the world of self-publishing because the market is rapidly changing and even big name authors are taking control of their own works. Feel free to message me if you have any questions or would like to chat about some of this!

That'd be great. How do I contact you? I'm not really big on the confidence thing since this book is my first, my baby and I love it to death but I'm not sure if others will accept it since its sad and features graphic abuse. Plus, the theme's kind of odd and I'm never sure how to present it without making people cringe.
