This is a Minolta XG-A SLR camera. It comes eith the lens you see in the pictures, 3 filters, the camera bag which is in great condition and has adjustable pockets, the original Minolta strap and a telephoto lense case with strap and attached filter case. Shipping is not free because this is a large package item. If you are local we can arange a pick up after you win the bid. These sell for over $60 on amazon and ebay so its a great deal.

It is a 1.7... "MD 50mm 1: 1.7" is what it says on the lens

Uou should be able to see all the dials on top. And yes. It does have settings for shutter speed.

I apologize I should have been more specific. I saw the picture but I didn't see settings to choose the specific shutter speed i.e. 1/1000 1/500 etc I ask because I don't see a dial on the top with those kinds of settings. (I'm inexperienced with slr cameras and I need one with complete manual settings for my photography class)

Yes you can set it for the specific type of film or whatever shutter speed you want. 25, 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 & 1600. It has the bulb settings and self timer also.
