How big is your bunny? I ask as I have 2 and the larger one I have a harness for but Dusty - while not a dwarf - is a small girl....maybe 4 lbs. Do you think it might fit her? I understand no guaranties, but what would your honest guesstimate be? TY

My bunny is a lion head so he isnt huge but i would say he is about 4 or 5 pounds maybe? his momma is half lion head and half new zealand so she is the size of a wild rabbit but not thin she is very stocky build, his daddy is full lion head and half the size of his momma lol. nigel thornberry as i call him,i tried a different small one on him and i couldnt even get it around him. tbh i would say like the package say a rat or ferret because bunnies have the larger bones and chest,so your bunny would probably wear a medium but i gave the sizes it would fit if you measure around your bunnies chest right under her front legs and then around her neck but make sure to have enough room to get at least one fingers width in between the measurement and the bunny. so if it measures in between those i listed then it will fit her,i cant say for sure because i cant see her. thanks for asking though

TY! Actually, I overlooked measurements.... After reviewing those it'd fit her at largest measruements. F, W, & now bid, of course. (My big Lilly is a large white lop but my little Dusty is a possible rex, definitely harlequin, and I think a touch of lionhead as well as her fur from between her ears down her neck is a furry little Mohawk. lol Nigel Thornberry, eh? lol) TY again!

HE IS A SPOILED BIG 6 MONTH OLD BUNNY WHO THINKS i AM HIS GIRLFRIEND AND NOT HIS GRAMMA LOL(if ya know what I mean?)lol

It just started pouring down over here although it's been thundering for a couple of hours already. And my furbuns think I'm just a big bunny as they have free roam in my bedroom 24/7 and I'm in here 80% of the time. But both mine are girls so they don't try to be.... ummmmm....as "friendly" as it sounds like sir Nigel is. That doesn't stop them from pouncing on me when they want attention but I'm asleep, tho!

LOL A bunny purr isn't like cats...it just feels similar. (I guess some buns do it loud enough to hear, but mine I can just feel it.) It's a very soft grinding of the teeth that means the same as a cat purr. (Now if they grind their teeth hard there's something wrong; either medically or they're really stressed.) But just like cats, some don't, some do it quietly (mine) and I guess some are easily audible.

Yeah, next time your massaging around their jaws see if you feel it. It makes me almost as happy as when mine binky! That site explains all of it and it's pretty funny if you're familiar with bunnies to start. (Obviously you are! lol) for reference again it's: http://language.rabbitspeak.com Enjoy!

aww they are so adorable at that age right after they open their eyes at 10 days old. you do know that once baby bunnies open their eyes besides the momma feeding them in the middle of the night one time daily you can leave hay(alfalfa or timothy) where they can get to it along with rabbit pellets, a tiny bit of carrots and some romaine lettuce. they are eating machines once they open their eyes as when they are in their burrows the momma bunny poops in it and mixes it with some hay that is what baby bunnies munch on during the days until its time for the midnight or 5 am feeding. It has major nutrients in it,I know it sounds gross but its true lol. if you want them to be very tame make sure once they start coming out you handle them and talk to them everyday even now so they are used to your voices. I am finally down to three back with the momma, the daddy and one of the very first born in which I named him nigel Thornberry lol he just loves me to pieces ha ha a little to much some times ha ha

Lol....pez dispensers. Yeah. When they're eating I ask them if they're refilling. Mine are paper trained for urine but the poo power effect applies, so I know what you mean completely. I have a cottage cheese container I store a lot of them in tho 'cuz they make such good fertilizer even my b/f asks for some for his garden. So I've got a dish of Dusty drops in my room. lol But they sure are great companions, y'know? Friendly & soft & I truly love it when they binky or "purr". Pure contentment.....ahh. Dusty sometimes tries to hump Lily, tho, so their nicknames: "Silly Lily" & "Lusty Dusty" are "funny bunnies." >groan< Bunny <3 to you & your warren!

I think all bunnies are cute ha ha I had my original two that I got for my grandkids last easter and they werent sexed yet come to find out of course one male and one female lol,she had 6 litters of babies if you can believe in a manner of 6 months. imagine my surprise, I used to raise rabbits but forgot how long they carried them but I remember now its a litter ever 28 days,I cant keep this male and female apart,no matter what I did or where I seperated them the male would whine and actually cry and the female miss peach would bite rite through the fencing and get on the same side as him, finally I went and paid the 75 bucks and had him fixed when her fifth litter was 2 days old. imagine my surprise when that was 4 weeks old she had her 6th litter wow, he got her when the 5th litter was 2 days old. she was still nursing the 9 babies from that litter which were very healthy fuzz balls so she was so stressed out she just let the newer ones die and I didnt know it until I seen one of them halfway out of the pipe in the ground in the tunnel that led down to the underground burrow we made for her to have her babies in.

we tried all kinds of flooring for them but after she had dug into the ground through the chicken wire for her first litter we cemented the floor of their outside cage and placed a 5 gallon bucket in the ground then used a 4 inch black light weight sewage plastic piping coming out of the bucket up to the floor of the cage and cenented right over the top of the bucket but we also made an opening in the top of the bucket for clean out purposes for us and had a lid fashioned on it. it didnt take her long to squeeze right down into that bucket and fill it with hay. she was pleased as punch because of that burrow ha ha. they say not to keep the males with the females after they have babies because the males will kill the babies. not true with Optimus Prime(my son named him ha but I have always called him Muff, and now that hes fixed he really is a muff heehee). anywho that Muff took care of those babies more then the momma did, everytime it was feeding time once they reached 10 days old they can eat regular food, he would go to the front of the hole and thump and nod his head and all the little babies would run right out. I was amazed at how good a daddy he was. Its unheard of usually.

Awww...sry 2 hear about that 6th litter. Poor mama, tho. Quite a 'hare'm....>groan< LOLOL @ Nigel's g/f. Too funny. Muff sounds like a sweetie, tho. My girls like shredding the newspapers & pulling out hay to make 'nests' in their 'warren's - which are actually behind my pillows & the wooden box under my mattress. So I have to clean up their first nest before I go to bed. heh-heh S'ok since they have so much fun making another one the next day.

We if fit a guinea pig
May 8th, 2014 at 4:03:56 PM PDT by

I do not know the size of your pets, that is why I listed the sizes for the chest and neck area so if you would go and measure around your guinea pigs neck and chest then if they fall in between or below the numbers for that area then it would fit. this is a small harness so if your guinea pig is fat then probably not but I don't know guinea pigs very well after I was bit by my sisters when I was 2 I haven't liked them since ha ha.

Cool! That would be awesome! (I'll send a few of my girls, too. Right now they're both getting groomed simultaneously by mom as they started the "You groom me." "No...YOU groom ME!" dominance debate they occasionally do. If left to go on it ends up with a brief room -and furniture- wide high-speed chase complete with stunts until they both come to rest by mommy for grooming and finally purr :I guess this'll work"...lol)

And to LittleLadyKatie: Best of luck with with little Anksbi. Bunnies can be wonderful and entertaining companions! (Mine make me laugh every day!) Once they get comfortable around you -which can take time and patience- they'll definitely let you know what they want! Here's an excellent site for interpreting bunny behavior (and how to "talk" with them): http://language.rabbitspeak.com/ Very detailed, easy-to-read & funny! GL to you and your furbun!

Ill have to check that site out. yes its true they will tell you what they want lol as soon as I walk in Nigels pen he runs right up to me and is like yay mommy can pet me now ha ha then he will give me tons of kisses and if he feels like trying to remove my nose rings or ear rings he will grab them and try pulling them out lol. he doesnt do it with all of them but I think he has preference to what color he prefers me to wear ha ha. I dont know about the purring thing though? what exactly do they do when they purr? is it like a cats or what as I have only heard my bunnies, thump their feet when their mad, clench their teeth and like grind them and other funny stuff like that? Im sort of curious as to what it sounds like? heck they could do it and I just dont hear it cause Im tone deaf to the lower tones because of scar tissue on my ear drums from having three sets of ear tubes in my 30's

Ms Whitetyger68,
I'm reading all of your patient, sincere responses and I just have to say I'm proud to be a fan! Wish I had more credits! (I will soon as my 1st auction went awesome! Great bidders! I've posted a few more if you'd like to look but this isn't a promo for my auctions......)

I just wanted to let you know your considerate & loving details make your posts a pleasure to read and I will continue to check your listings because of your sincerity. (Also out of bunny <3 !) (I can picture a Nigel 'loving' you....heh-heh.) Do you possibly have some pics you could send? (I saw somebody auctioning a pic of a rabbit rescue....that was all. 1 pic of a claimed rabbit rescue. Grrrrrr... Isn't that a Listia violation in some way?)

Regardless, I'd like to share pics w/ you of our fuzzbuns if Listia will allow that through e-mail. Plz let me know and Listia & bunny love to you!

(P.S. Thunderstorms here on east coast. How's your weather?)

Thanks for your comment. Yes we have been having some pretty good storms here in. Florida also. Have the grandkids every weekend so they have been kind of stuck in the house until today. It's 85 and very sunny lol finally. Yes I would love to share some of my bunny pics lol. My Nigel is quite the Casanove lol,I don't think he knows he's a bunny though since I have been raising him since he was 4 weeks old.He has been in the house being spoiled rotten lol. He has just been put back out in the large pen with his mom and dad right next to him so he can get bunny again ha. I WANTED HIM TO HAVE A BIGGER AREA TO RUN AROUND IN then the hutch he had in the house. Their outside pen is a 10x12 cemented floor so the coyote can't get them or the owls and hawks. They have tons of room for playing. Just message me thru inbox and I can send along some pics of all my bunnies I have raised here in the last. Six months.lol

Apr 20th, 2014 at 8:02:00 AM PDT by

Im pretty sure its way to small for a cat sorry, it is made for ferrets and rats or very small bunnies the sizes are listed just measure your cat as it is the same thing as the cats harnesses so if the measurements work then yes it would fit.
