The flower head forms an extraordinary, nearly black globe surrounded by bright green sepals where the petals usually are. Makes a wonderful fresh cut flower or is fantastic in dried arrangements. Fast growing and easy to care for, this specimen is sure to attract plenty of attention.

An unusual fresh cut flower, long lasting in water, or use in dried arrangements. Easy to grow, quickly forming a good sized plant with plenty of lush green foliage and always a talking point. Flowers in summer. Height 4-5ft. Full sun to part shade.

I don't have any of these what is the germination on them

Hello - The Green Wizard Rudbeckia is a perennial. Zones 7-10. Germination 5-21 days

Sow from late winter to mid summer 1/4 inch deep in good compost. Have it moist but not wet and see inside a ziplock bag until after germination at 65-70 degrees. If the seeds don't germinate within 5-21 days place them in a fridge and leave them for 2-3 weeks then return to warm. Inspect them while in the fridge and if you see they are germinating take them out and plant them. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 3" pots. Later plant out 12" apart in full sun and ordinary well drained soil. Cut stems down in late autumn.
