Is it true to size?

Not really sure what is true to size. I have noticed with "large" size shirts that they very, depending on brand or even style. Some are bigger and some are a bit smaller variations. I would say this one is more towards a smaller variation of a size large. What i mean is, as I am 5'8", this shirt is a bit short for me. And I have a D cup and its tighter on the chest. I have had this problem with many other large shirts.
