The listing, Nokia Lumia 521 4G (Metro PCS) has ended.

DETAILS: Nokia Lumia 521 in near perfect condition. I won this phone online but I couldn't use it. (Metro PCS does not cover my area.) And I'm currently under T-Mobile. Now, it CAN be switched to carriers AT&T and T-MOBILE but that requires an unlock code which I have absolutely no idea how to obtain the code with Metro PCS. (Customer Service is making the process difficult.) So this is being re-listed.
Physically the phone is flawless. There is absolutely nothing wrong with anything else except the fact that I can't unlock it for all carriers.
The phone has a clean ESN and the results are shown in the last picture and is also updated to the newest Windows update.
This phone features 8GB internal storage with expandable microSD memory of up to 64GB, and 7GB free cloud storage. It also comes wth a 5MP Camera with 4x digital zoom and touch focus. The Lumia 521 runs on Windows Phone 8, featuring live tiles and automatic facebook sync. This device is equipped with quadband GSM and WCDMA modes for international use. This device accepts Micro SIM cards.

oh i was wondering because if you cant get it unlocked most of the time someones account still has money needed to be payed.

Oh that's what you were getting at. No there are no overdue fees on this phone. Usually if a phone has an amount to be owed The Electronic Serial Number (ESN) of the phone is blacklisted by it's carrier as "bad" until the amount due is paid. The last picture is the result of a check when I first listed this auction. I could add another but I can't update the auction now.

This is a great phone!!! I have one and I LOVE IT and its great for Parents with kids that like to play games!!!! It has a Kids Korner so the kids can only access their games or whatever you choose without messing with anything else!!! GREAT AUCTION !!!!!

Thanks! I have another T-Mobile Nokia Lumia solely for recreational use and personally, I love that feature! I have a little brother and sister who play a ton of games on it. I would love to list it on this site, but they managed to scratch the screen twice. :(

I found out through my AT&T provider that I wouldn't be able to unlock this to use for at&t especially if it was on a contract. :( so im not so sure it can be. I showed my carriers store manager this info and ge said no way. Its locked. So goodluck to all you lovley bidders and seller..this is a nice phone. Hope it works out!♥

Well, I don't think it's very difficult if you buy it. But obtaining one free? It was quite difficult for me considering I don't have MetroPCS. I did talk to someone who has it and they told me the only way to have it unlocked for free is if you currently have an account with them. Otherwise, you will have to pay to have it unlocked. Good luck on your search for a new phone though!

Yes it is a GSM phone. It can be switched to AT&T but that requires an unlock code.

You mean as a media only device (games, music, videos, etc.) without a cell phone provider? If so, yes. You don't need a provider for those functions.
