Pashmina, from the Persian, means made from Pashm, which means Wool.
These shawls have been hand made with the same process for many Centuries in that part of the World. The 1st Cashmere Wool was woven in India, from a Special breed of Goats, that are indigenous to the high altitudes of the Himalayas, in India, Nepal & Pakistan, because the Goats grow a multi layer of thic & very soft fur. The Cashmere Goats (Pashmina), moult in the Spring, & their fine, inner wool is used for these Shawls & also for other sought after, soft Garments.

This Gorgeous Pashmina Shawl I have at Auction is very Special. Some of the threads are Golden & give the fabric the illusion of "shimmering" ~~
This shawl is also reversible, showing the lovely Peacocks & their plumage in reverse colors on each side. You will be so very happy with the design & amazing softness of this fabric. Perfect for Summer evenings out, when you don't need a Jacket or Sweater.
