Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments are an extremely versatile product! Used by Artists, Painters, Polymer Clay, Ceramic, Rubber Stampers, Scrapbookers, Embossers, Encaustic Wax, Resin, Paper Arts, Jewelry, Steampunk & to create faux finishes on all types of surfaces.

Mix Into: Paint (oil, acrylic, latex, enamel, watercolor), wax, resin, clay (polymer, air-dry, ceramic, modeling)

Apply to: Clay, Embossed Stamped Images, Wax Embellishments, Glass, Metal, Wood, Paper, Fabric & Canvas, Resin, etc.

Pearl Ex creates a metallic look without being a metal. The particles are flat platelets with two surfaces, therefore it lays down beautifully like a thin coating of metal.

It is a safe, non-toxic, inert powdered pigment with a neutral pH. It is very colorfast & stable and is ideal for archival applications.

Interference colors create an iridescent sheen (like the effect of oil floating on water); on light backgrounds the effect is subtle & seen when angling the surface under light; on dark backgrounds, the effect is more pronounced and reflects a sheen with a tint of the color name, i.e., Interference Red will produce a red iridescence whereas Interference Green would create a green iridescence.

Duo colors change color depending on the light angle, reflecting the first color named on dark backgrounds & the second color named on light surfaces; i.e., Duo Red-Blue would appear predominantly more red on a dark background & more blue on a light background.
