The listing, 160GB WD Scorpio Black 2.5" Laptop Hard Drive In Sabrent External HD Enclosure has ended.

This is an auction for two great items: one a Western Digital Scorpio Black Laptop Hard Drive and the other a Sabrent 2.5" SATA Hard Drive Enclosure. I used this hard drive for a year or so before upgrading recently. It is in good condition and was successfully formatted this morning in NTFS format. Comes enclosed in the Sabrent case, so the winner can choose to either use it as an external hard drive or remove it with the screwdriver included in order to install in a laptop. Either way, you'll have a nice hard drive. If you have questions, please ask. Thank you.

to wisdom!!!!speed ... do not ever ask what os is on a hdd. because it is still not compatable with your computer. it still configeres to your mother board when you load a fresh install of whatever os on it . otherwords, you cannot take a hard drive from 1 pc and put it into another and expect it to work. that is impossible .and i put it in layman terms. that should answer all your questions and whoever else that was thinking the same way.

When you say the drive was formatted, does that mean it still has the windows os on it? And if so, which which Windows os?

Hi. Yes, assuming you have a copy of windows such as on the discs that came with your laptop when it was purchased new, then you can install the operating system on this drive. Thanks.
