This is a vintage Freshwater Pearl Necklace. It was made for a special occasion such as a quick photo or baptism. I do not think that the pearls are real. I think real pearls might by too heavy for a newborn. It is a beautiful vintage piece.
It would also be very cool for a doll.
I am not going to warn you about putting any necklace about a babies neck for any length of time, except a quick change. You know
