Up for auction is this marvelous sterling silver ring size 6, stamped 925. The large oval cut delicate purple tourmaline is beautiful. Four additional brilliant oval cut tourmaline stair step on the sides of the main stone. Tourmaline is the birthstone of October.

These stones are laboratory created, but their properties, chemical, optical and physical, are identical to that of naturally occurring stones. Man made gems are much hardier than their naturally occurring cousins, not so subject to temperature change, drying out, cracking or grazing.
