The listing, Polyphemus Moth Digital Image CHARITY AUCTION has ended.

ANIMAL CHARITY FUNDRAISER!

This beautiful HUGE polyphemus moth landed on our door and posed for this hi-res photo. The detail is amazing. This moth was over 3.5" across. The photo was taken in 2006 near Florence, Oregon.

1650x813 pixels, 256kbps res, 609KB, JPEG, print size 4.5x9.2 landscape. I would be happy to adjust brightness, size, etc., if requested.

The winner of this auction will receive the original image as a .jpg image attachment to an email.

All points from our Listia auctions go to buy gift cards to spend on our sanctuary for special needs animals.

Beautiful photography. I see that you get a lot of plant seeds. Your statement says all your points are used for gift cards. Is this a recent change?

Yes. We started on Listia to buy plants and seeds when we moved to our new property. Now we're in a horrible drought and can't afford to water anymore. The plants and seeds were for the butterflies, hummingbirds, and food for ourselves and our critters. Nothing goes to waste, here, and everything serves a practical purpose.

We stumbled onto the gift card idea along with the digital image idea and decided to give it try as a fundraiser. Fingers crossed. We've already had over $500 in emergency vet bills this month. :-(.

I know about those bills! Are the images for personal use only? I have a graphics business and would like to use them in some of my art, not sell the image itself but incorporate into other things.

You may already do this, have you looked into putting the images on a royalty free sight like Dreamstime?

No, not just for personal use. We own all the rights and we're giving them freely. If you bid on any of them, we'd love to see what you do with them.
