1923 one dollar large note silver certificate horse blanket......

good condition!! no rips or tears.....has some folding....has some creasing.....there is no grafitti written on it.....edges are ok....has half decent color....looks nice!!!

this is a big dollar....not your regular size dollar. great note to get graded or psa.

Ok, I have a question if you don't mind... Silver Certificates were issued with the equal trade value of silver coins, right? One dollar, one coin....$50=50 silver dollar coins.... What will a bank do now if you want to trade in your Silver Certificate dollar bill? Give you a silver dollar coin dated before 1964? But what is worth more? I'm not being a smarty-butt here, just kinda want to know. Raise with the ol' "only dumb question is the question not asked", & looks like you or you bidders may have the answer! :-) Thanks

If you trade in old money at bank all they do is give u new money. Banks don't see value in old money. Your local antique store downtown where you live might buy it off you. And yes they gave u silver back in the day for silver certificate. One dollar for $1 worth of silver. And ounce silver back in the day wasn't worth what it is today though. You cant demand silver now days like u use to be able too.

love the horse blanket man great note ...I have 1 in the same shape and 1 in unc also have a few 1917 2 dollar bills and 1 dollar silver certs all 1917 and a black eagle 1899 I think it is all are in unc to almost unc condition or same as this great shape horse blanket you have there ...great auction ...gotta love these old bills they are like works of art...I know you will get tons for this one it is 1 of the best ones I have seen on here great shape ...very cool auction
