Are they mini or reg size?
I don't wanna give my age away but I used to have to use an actual potato. Back in the day, all you got were the accessories. There were all different kinds of kits and you had to get the veggies from your mom. Lol!

Regular size.
I dont remember regular potatoes but I do remember having one and there were a TON of accessories. Way more than there are now. Too bad I never kept mine. LOL

That was when they first came out. The accessories were like pushpins, very sharp to go through the potato. In the 1960's safety laws changed so, the plastic potato head was born. Lol!
