The listing, Beautiful *REAL GOLD* Black Hills Gold Earrings 10K, 12K and 14K gold has ended.

I have another beautiful pair of Black Hills Gold earrings for auction! (I have a matching BHG necklace in another auction too!)

These earrings have one green leaf and one rose colored leaf on each side of a gold flower on the bottom of a circular gold background. They dangle from a beautiful rose leaf with 14 karat gold earring posts.

What makes a piece of jewelry Black Hills Gold? It has the unique traditional design comprised of pink and green gold leaves, gold grape clusters and vines and it must, by law, be manufactured in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
How are the green and pink-colored gold leaves made? Pure 24 karat yellow gold is alloyed with silver to create the vibrant green, and is alloyed with copper to make the dazzling pink. The resulting alloy is a more durable 12 karat gold.
What karat is Black Hills Gold? Nearly all pieces, regardless of manufacturer, are comprised of 10 karat yellow gold (ring shanks, pendant and earring bases), 12 karat pink and green gold (leaves, roses, hearts, butterflies etc..), 14 karat gold earring posts and complimentary gold-filled (1/20 12 karat) 18" chains for pendants.

Questions & Comments

The clasp is stamped 14K GF, and I can not find a stamp on the pendant. It is classic BHG colors, design, and style. I will see if I can get it to a jeweler and get an appraisal before the auction is over to set your mind at ease.

are there any stamp marks or markings anywhere on this item?

Yes, the back of each earring (dangle part) is stamped 10K. They are also stamped C.Co and that is a trademark of the Coleman Black Hills Gold Jewelry company. The leaves are 12k (as mentioned in above description) but not stamped on front, of course. The earring back (part that comes off and fastens behind ear) is stamped 14k on one of them. The other one is not stamped and may be a replacement. They are in like new condition with no scratches marks or signs of wear.
