Yes it plays videos i believe you download your pictures and music there are 4 songs right now i didnt fool with it mostly my daughter did yes you can take it with you to show off your pics you can out pics on as you like to put them on still not sure about videos

Yes it has the plug in cord.with it ready to go.Just download everything you want i wil leave the 3 songs on it and you may want to keep them or get rid of them.
