Description

The listing, True Florida Famous Datil Pepper Seeds has ended.

15 Seeds of The Famous St. Augustine Florida Grown Datil Peppers that are Hot with a bold unique Flavor.

These Seeds are Heirloom and are Homegrown from my very own trees.
They are used in the Famous Datil Dew Sauces and Pickles sold all over Florida. I also have a recipe for the Perfect Datil Sauce and Jelly that will accompany the seeds. Grows very fast and easy though will not tolerate cold...must be brought indoors in the very cold places.

If the Bidding goes to 10,000 points or Higher.. I will Double the amount of seeds and I will Include a Jar of HomeMade Datil Pepper Sauce for you to try!! It can be used for seafood, Steaks, Hamburgers, Taco's or any other reason to add a Sauce! As winter is approaching and the peppers are going to stop soon, I'm not sure if I will be able to offer this again till next spring. We have also been having severe Flooding here in Florida and as a result have had to move most plants here to safety levels and in doing so may have shocked or damaged Some of them .

Start a few indoors now and by spring when you take them out they will be already starting to produce peppers.
they like Well drained soil, Avoid wet muddy areas. Water as soon as the soil feels dry or you see the leaves looking slightly limp. I Love the flavor of the Datil Peppers above all my others and I hope the winning Bidder Enjoys them too!! :-)

Blah, flooding. There's a reason I don't live in FL anymore! How big do your pepper plants get usually?

If I leave them in containers they average 4 to 5 ft...If i get a nice dry summer and plant them in ground i have had them get 10 to 12 ft and very wide across if each branch is topped at a young age a time or so.
