The listing, "Little Black Bag" Hand Crochet has ended.

That little black bag, to go with that little black dress!

I found these yesterday in closet looking for something else. I made them when I was stuck recupperating and for therapy.

Made with 100% cotton thread by Aunt Lydia and black seed beads. the purse closure is nickel/brushed brass finish. The Liner, is lepard print flannel.

Finished size: Purse is 5inches from top to bottom. by 4inches wide. strap is 21 inches from purse top to top of strap. actual length is 42 inches long.

Will hold small set of keys and money, cards and lip gloss/lipstick.

This is one of a kind, don't think I will ever make another exactly like.

***For those with allergies, I have a dog and a cat in the home, I try to keep them away when I work on projects, but my Bella just won't leave me alone and Gowain loves my yarn!***

oh wow.. this is lovely!!! your work is awesome... I hope to get that good some day.. I have been crocheting about a year now, so im kinda still new at it, but since I picked my hook up last year I have not been able to put it down so it's very addicting...lol

Thank you, that means alot to me. I know what you mean, I've done many other crafts but always come back to crochet. I've been doing it for 40+ years. Grandma told me, practice, practice, and don't be afraid to rip it out and start over. It is the only way to get better at it. I am still challenging myself at my age to learn new stiches, patterns and I am still trying to learn how to write out legible patterns even tho school hood friend tells me to give it up. ( 'cuz I stink at it) So yes, I agree it is VERY addicting!! ; - D

I know what you mean when you say your grandma told you not to be afraid to rip it out and start over cause thats what my grandma told me when I was 8 years old... but she only taught me the basics of crocheting like, chain and single crochet and thats basically it,, then i just lost interest in it until last year and my mom ask me if I could make a hat and scarf for her and so i got busy looking on you tube and thats where i have learned a lot of different stitch's, and to read a pattern.. that website is a god sent...lol

Your lucky when I was learning there were only books and maybe a person or two to help you figure out what you (me) , LOL, were doing wrong. I have only just found You Tube ( your right , it is a godsend!!!), and have been busy checking out Irish crochet. Daughter would like a crochet or sewn dress by her mama. We'll see if I can accomplish that goal. Been doing more ripping than keeping. Merry Christmas!!!
