The listing, glorious black glass mourning cameo has ended.

very ornate. it doubles as a pendant as well. it measures an inch and a half tall. the cameo itself is made of jet black glass. the new owner will be pleased with this. however we found under a loupe a patent number :

I have a couple of beautiful black cameo pins. One is very similar to this one; but, in much better condition than this. However, I don't think mine doubles as a pendant. I NEVER realized that a black cameo is a mourning piece! Wow, how interesting! Nice auction. Fanned and watching. This is very nice. =D

This is a beautiful black cameo!! I have fanned and been watching. I did want to let you know that I have an extensive collection of mourning jewelry and typically if it's old it has a stamp for type of metal or a makers mark. Serial numbers mean mass production!! Still a beautiful piece and well worth watching!! Thanks so much and Merry Christmas!!!
