This is for the man in your life that does it all but may not have it all!
this is a helicoil
thread repair kit
for steel and also aluminum
7/16-14 unc unit insert thread repair kit
now what it actually does if you dont understand the above
is sometimes you are tightening things down with their bolts or screws and you either a. have bad threads on the inside of the hole already or b. you over tighten it and strip the threads on the inside of the hole.
how many times has that happened while working on a car like the head bolts? or maybe the valve cover gasket bolts? well this kit will help you repair the hole threads back to their original threading.
of course its not actually their original threads but you get the drift.'
there are instructions on what drill to use, and what insert to use inside the hole and everything. it is self explanatory for those of use who are mechanically inclined. i would not recomend this for those that are not familiar with threads,tap outs,thread repairs etc.. because even tho it is self explanatory you still must be mechanically inclined.
everything is included in this kit to make the threads good again,the following are the items in this case
1. insert,free running 1 1/2 dia, ms122124
2. insert free running 2 ' dia. ms122164
3.insert,screw-locking 1 1/2 dia ms21209-c7-15
4. insert screw locking 2' dia ms21209-c7-20
5. tap,thread cutting,s.t.i.
6.inserter thread insert
7.tang break off tool
8.extracting tool
9.tool box,portable
this was manufactured in 8/27/91
it is a black and decker helicoil
it is a very expensive tool and if you bought this set today it would cost you
upwards of $275.00 these are something that all mechanics have because it is so much easier to use this then it is to have to replace a whole head because a bolt hole is stripped! it would make for a wonderful christmas present to that mr.fix it or the mechanic in your life!

Update; when the get it now button is used you will not only get this heli-coil you will also receive a yours choice extra item and you will choose between 3 or 4 different items, all with values exceeding 20.00 and up. there is available a dremel set with its own case, including alot of different sized tips,alot of different tips,cutting discs,sanding disks,polishing ends,etc.. this is not the dremel brand name set . it comes in a gray case and is in very good conditon. . or a dewalt item in its own case. could possible be a belt sander or could be a craftsman item.when you click the get it now option i will ask you thru email which item you would also like besides the heli-coil. thanks and good luck hope you win, remember use gin and you will get more bang for you bid.
