Yes. This works like new. You can see the drive on the last image. That image is of the Disk Utility window that shows the drive, it's capacity, format and connection to my computer.
These things are awesome well worth the credits everyone. I have 2 and its the best thing out there. I have like hundreds & hundreds of movies saved on it. There not cheap either! Good luck seller!
damn , lol I was waiting for 1 of these to come up , finally gave up and bought 1 2 wks ago but researched this model before and very nice auction , just wish it was 2 wks ago.
No password is necessary and I just formatted it to work with windows. I think I have the original box, but not sure yet. I'll look for it and let you know. Any documentation will be in the box.
Awesome...thanks for the response!! Will it include any documentation?? Is it password protected?? Sorry about all the questions...I am definitely interested and will hopefully be bidding. I would just like to know as much as possible beforehand. If I went to Staples to get something like this, lol, they would be inundated with questions!! :-)
I am looking at this to store well over 128G of legal data for cases I am working on or have worked on in the past. I need to know if this will suit those purposes and whether or not it works like a simple USB Flash Drive. I want to transfer all of my data from the number of USBs I have onto something like this, but only if it works like a Flash Drive....THX/JJG
Hi. This drive is 1000GB so it will easily store 128GB of anything you put in it, even legal documents. When you plug this in it will look like an external drive and very similar to the USB drives you're using now.
No matter what you put on any drive, USB or HDD, you'll want to have a backup on a second drive just in case one fails.
How do these work? Do you just plug it into your computer and transfer files you want saved on to there for safe keeping? Like photos and videos? Do you need to install anything with a disk? I have a small netbook I keep my photos on from my phone but I am running out of space. It would be nice to have a hard drive to keep files on. But my netbook has no CD rom to install anything on.
I don't know about netbooks and their compatibility, but there is no software to install here. This is just plug and play, at least for any mac or windows machine.
I would not recommend storing your photos only on one drive. You can use this as a backup drive, for example, but a copy of the file should also be on another drive.
