I am sorry, but have to clear this up. you advertise this as genuine Baltic amber.. yet in the stone description it is "genuine indonesian Baltic amber" last time i checked Indonesia and the Baltic sea are quite the distance from one another... could you please clarify?

Sure, your thinking Baltic means it comes from the Baltic Sea, But that's not necessarily means its origin. Amber is a fossil resin produced by pine trees which grew over 45 million years ago. Indonesia consists of 17,508 islands, about 6,000 of which are inhabited. The largest are Java, Sumatra, Borneo (shared with Brunei and Malaysia), New Guinea (shared with Papua New Guinea), and Sulawesi. Indonesia shares land borders with Malaysia on Borneo, Papua New Guinea on the island of New Guinea, and East Timor on the island of Timor. Indonesia shares maritime borders across narrow straits with Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines to the north, and with Australia to the south.
Fossil resin (amber) can be found in many location of Indonesia, the amber usually associated with coal/lignite mining location. Sometime fossil resin (amber) mined in lignitic-glauconite clay soils. There are many suppliers of amber Baltic raw materials throughout Indonesia for more than 15 years

Me either, I just appreciate stones & natural genuine items. I try to learn about their origins but in jewelry sometimes you learn more about the setting itself then the precious treasure inside. I always try to post the best knowledge I have available about my items as the best to my ability, but I am by no means an expert myself. I have a love for knowledge.

pinky i did some research. proper name would be : kalimantan amber. Baltic amber is only in northern europe (poland, russia ne germany)

We can go with either you prefer, I listed whats on my jewelers invoice. They claimed Baltic amber, but again im sure it was most likely because of the bubbles bark found in this beauty.
