Ah, there's one in every barrel, I know. I always use tracking, since it protects both the buyer and the seller. People who don't use it "in order to help keep shipping costs down" - and usually send a disc wrapped in a piece of paper so it often gets broken. If you start your bid at a high enough rate - and yes, it does cost a few credits if you go over 499 - but you can cover most of your shipping costs that way. I'd rather spend more credits (which I have) than money (which I don't have) in order to get the actual movie or music dvd or cd case with all artwork intact and the disc protected. I won a book of poetry once that the auction said "used". When I got it, the binding was broken and at least 1/3 of the book was missing - around 200 pages were gone - the entire section of beat poets. She disputed the refund request, saying "I said it was used." Well, I'm a former college librarian and a lifetime avid reader - I known book abuse when I see it. I replied "'Used' means it's been read previously, not torn to pieces." and I included exactly what was on the missing pages, as the information was shown on the table of contents. Yeah, she lost the dispute, too. Still, I've been here since Oct. 2011 and all but a very few transactions went smoothly, with both parties satisfied. I've more than tripled our movie and music collections with not much effort and very little funding involved.
