The letter on the bottom stands for the month it was made and the 03 is the year it was made so this one was made August of 2003.

H is like the rating. I don't think it has to do with wind resistance, though. The earlier in the alphabet the better the lighter. But, like Mark882 said, 12 years is still quite a while ago. LoL. Good luck to you and your brother on this lighter! I'm not personally bidding, but I love Zippos, I have a few that I've collected over the years and I LOVE these iridescent colored ones. So pretty, I have one, it just isn't engraved like this one. I will still be watching :-)

Well im 51 so 12 years ago was a long time ago lol but its still worth 18,000 or more i think and with it having the writing on it make,s it worth more then if it was just a plane jane lighter so i think you should be getting more points for it ill bet rite at the end is when most bids will hit to,,good luck

So you say it has 03 on the bottom then that is the year it was made 2003 so it is not very old as you stated in your listing if you have a 1937 or a 1958 like i do then you can say its very old so really its very new to be a 2003 year i collect zippo,s and have about 50 of them ,,watching tho
