You have to pity the first century church.... they had no printed word. And I suppose a tip of the hat is more than due to Gutenberg for his printing press and to Martin Luther for translating and having printed the first copies in a "common" language. I have to agree that the Bible is precious, but insisted that it is not the "Logos" (the written word) that is the most precious, but the spoken word.... as the "two-edged sword" and the Word made flesh, which dwells within and among us (as described so eloquently by The Apostle John, in the first chapter of his Gospel). how much would shipping be to Luderitz Namibia? postal code 9000. My father inlaw is partially blind and I have to type and print the bible in big letters for him and file it in a binder so he can read it, think this would be a awesome gift for him who reads his bible every day
