The listing, Organic Melanzane Rosso Di Rotonda - Eggplant - NONGmo - 40 has ended.
These are wonderful prolific Eggplants! A native and favorite in Italy.
These produce small clusters of eggplant that are great cooked, pickled and many other ways!
These are shorter harvests than many varieties. These are great sauteed, fried, baked or pickled.
Of the terrible growing season we had this year, these kept producing into September in our Midwestern garden and continued on through our flood/drought, warm/cool crazy season!
These are from our garden and are organic and non gmo!

S. aethiopicum) 80 days Fruits are oblate, smooth and mature to a brilliant scarlet. Red eggplants are widely grown, but mostly in Africa and Asia. This one is the only red type traditionally grown in Italy, and it is renowned there! Rotonda is the town in southern Italy that is famous as the traditional source for this unusual type. It was probably introduced there in the late 19th century by veterans returning from colonial wars. Often exported as pickled eggplant.
