Description

The listing, NON-WORKING Game Boy Carts Pokemon Zelda has ended.

This is for three NON-WORKING Game Boy carts. They are Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, and Zelda: Link's Awakening DX.

They DO NOT work, and I don't really expect that they ever will again, but perhaps someone on Listia knows better than I do or can think of a cool project to do with them anyway.

GIN offers are welcome.

Would be a cool project to use them rather then throw them away

Do they come on at all? The pokemon ones, if they don't save the battery needs replacing but it's an aggravating thing to do

They don't turn on at all from last I recall. It's not simply a battery issue, unfortunately. Nor is it dirty contacts (though they probably are dirty), as I'm sure I would have tried that with each when I got them like this. I believe Pokemon Red was literally in a flood, for example. I just couldn't bring myself to toss 'em. I planned on remove the labels and making something out of them (like those fake NES carts you see with GTA V label on them or something) but I never got around to it.

So you can't remember if you did check to see if its just a battery issue or corrosion...or you haven't checked?

I would have cleaned the contacts when I bought them 1-2 years ago and first tried them. I know they don't power on. I don't remember what happened to everyone of them. I do know that Pokemon Red was in a flooded basement and someone gave it to me because they were going to throw it out. I never actually checked the batteries because you don't need the battery for it to power on, only for it to save..

The motherboards are probably gone. If they got wet, they are destroyed

Yeah. Pokemon Red is probably fried for sure. The other two I don't really know their story, but considering they're relatively inexpensive, it probably isn't worth fixing even if you could.
