The Dala horse is a symbol of Sweden representing strength, faithfulness, wisdom and dignity. Through the years, the horse has become the sign of good luck and these carvings are often given as gifts for hosts, family and friends.
The burnt orange and decorated in shades of green and gold. It is 6" from tail to nose and 6.75" high to the tip of the ear.
The artist is Erik Pell, Farnas, Mora, Sweden. The paint is bright and in wonderful condition , no chips or scratches.
