Description

The listing, Devil's Backbone clippings has ended.

So up for bid is 4 clippings of my devils backbone plant. Clippings are from 6-8 in long. You can either put them straight in the dirt, or start them in water. I have tried both ways and the easier on in my opinion is straight in the dirt. ((also the quickest)

Is this species edible? I'm looking for multi-use plants.

How big do these get? Do they spread or stay a bush?

They will spread a little if they are not pruned regularly...I prune mine twice a year. And they stay "bushes" I have four in the ground and they have stayed around four foot tall for a few years now.

Thank you. I live in Ft. Myers, FL - do you cover them when we get 40' degrees or below weather?

I live in Winter Haven Fl, right in the middle of the state and they do great. They even turn pink when it's cold!!

I never cover anything because I am surrounded by large trees and hardly have any damage from cold snaps.

That is cool they change colors. Thank you for your quick response. Right now I only bring in my orchids (my passion). I have only covered things when we are to get freezing for more than one night.
