lol i was the same way. it is a usb wireless internet "catcher". thought that was funny when i heard it. it recieves any wireless internet connection within its range. It plugs into your computer by usb port. It requires not batteries or power source except your computer. If you go where there is wifi or your modem has wireless you can use it to pick up signal. Hope that helps. I had to have someone tell me before.The cards do the same thing and each one has its own varying signal strength.

can you do free shipping if you put it in an envelope? Its ok to take the product out of the box, it only weighs a few ounces so it should not be $5 shipping
