How long does it take them to grow?

It depends on your location but normally takes 4 to 8 weeks to germinate. In the Fall, you can sow untreated seeds directly outdoors. You can also sow seeds directly outdoors in the spring, but the best way is to germinate seeds indoors in 15-30 days after a cold treatment. To do this, place the seeds on top of a growing medium in a container (don't cover them). Seal the container or place it in a plastic bag to retain humidity. Keep in the fridge and check for germination in 4-8 weeks. Trumpet vine is fast growing and sometimes considered invasive in warmer climates but can be controlled with a little care. It spreads by underground runners and seeds. For best blooming, give it full sun, well drained soil, low moisture and no fertilizer. Note: All of this information and a LOT more can be found online. Thanks. A number of years ago I had some growing up the side of my house (it was there when I moved in). I loved it, especially when it was blooming. I did not know it could be started by seed. It's too late here for those. I'm in Vermont, it would take all summer just to germinate. So sad... maybe though...
